News - New Invention - Self Regulating Spout (SRS)

Six billion people, that populates our planet, are drinking hundreds of millions beverages from disposable bottles, cans or closed non-spilling cups per day. Recent market information shows that the number of closure caps for the soft drink industry has reached a production level of over 1 trillion per year and is growing annually with about 4%. Non-carbonated drinks are increasingly equipped with "push-pull" caps that partially meet the need of the consumer; being convenient to handle and providing easy access to the beverage.

The problem for the beverage industry lies in the fact that the "push-pull" cap is not leak tight under all circumstances and can't be used for carbonated beverages. On the other hand the demand from the market is increasing to replace the standard "screw cap" on the disposable bottles, with a trendy, easy to open, but leak tight closure.

For this problem an ingenious solution has been found a new cap SRS - an American/ Dutch - invention for which worldwide patent protection has been obtained. It is a closure that is to be placed on the bottles. There is no need to open the cap because SRS opens automatically when drinking and stays closed when not in use.

Three different fields of SRS application have been pursued, being a) the non-disposable cups for the babies, children and elderly people , b) the non-disposable sport bottle (Bidon) and c) the disposable bottles for the soft drink industry.

For whom is this of importance: naturally for the worldwide beverage industry, that offers numerous type of drinks.

This SRS assures that there is always excess to the drinking fluid while there will be no leakage or spilling when the bottle, can or cup turns over. Additionally the carbon dioxide remains under all circumstances within the fluid.
